2023 promises to be even better.
Starlite Festival features a variety of musical and cultural performances, with artists from all over the world taking the stage. It has a fantastic reputation for being well-organised and providing a memorable experience for attendees. See the great lineup here.
One unique thing about Starlite is that it takes place at an old quarry (the Nagüeles Quarry), an open space surrounded by nature, which is located at the high part of the Sierra Blanca Urbanization, in Cantera de Nagüeles.
This is in the foothills of the Sierra Blanca mountain range, and provides a stunning backdrop for the performances. It creates an interesting, intimate atmosphere, like a secret hidden venue beneath the stars for the 3,500 seat auditorium.
The venue is equipped with state-of-the-art sound and lighting systems, which ensures that the performances are top-notch. In addition to music, the festival also includes a variety of cultural events, including art exhibits and film screenings. It’s a great way to participate in the vibrant culture of Marbella!

STAYING IN MARBELLA
We have amazing properties for holiday rentals in the exclusive area of Sierra Blanca and Nagueles. Nagueles Park is a wonderful 10.000 hectare park of pine, carob and olive trees in this area with recreation area with stone picnic tables, benches and BBQ stations. Here you will also find a small hermitage chapel in honour of St Barnabé the patron saint of Marbella. This is where the annual St Barnabé pilgrimage takes place (in 2023 it starts next week).
As for the quarry itself, the stone was used to build Marbella’s main church Nuesta Senora de la Encarnacion. In the XVIII century, José Gómez y Miguel Carrera and master masons working on the Malaga Cathedral shipped stone from Nagüeles. The best known use of the quarry stone locally is that much of it contributed to the construction of Puerto Banús.
